Despite several staggeringly silly set pieces - including a sequence in an airplane in which 'Tees Maar Khan' escapes from the clutches of two police officers - the film’s first hour races by briskly thanks to breakneck pacing, and at least two energetically choreographed dance numbers. But by the time you’ve settled into your seat post intermission, the screenplay begins to come apart.  Tees Maar Khan', surprisingly, doesn’t match up to the standards set by Farah Khan with her previously directed films. Even if you go in willing to suspend your disbelief, 'Tees Maar Khan' is not an easy film to enjoy. Akshay Kumar works very hard to make the buffoonery look like fun, but he’s saddled with such poor material, it’s no surprise it doesn’t work.

Caution: Absurdity, illogicality and buffoonery scale new altitudes in TEES MAAR KHAN.Farah's fundas are very clear: Ask no questions and abandon all faith in logic, reason and rationale. Only then can you relish TEES MAAR KHAN. TEES MAAR KHAN amalgamates it all with charming results, mainly in the first half.On the flipside, the film slips towards the second hour it doesn't measure up to the first half in terms of the entertainment quotient. Final word? TEES MAAR KHAN is a film that will see a big divide in opinion: The masses may admire it, while the hard-nosed aficionados and connoisseurs of cinema will loathe it. For me, TEES MAAR KHAN worked in parts only.

Tees Maar Khan too is purported to be total fun and begins on a promising note, with the actors creating havoc on screen from the word go. you begin to settle down for loads of masti and dhamaal as the show unfolds. But post interval, you end up restless. And fidgety. Because nothing really connects. All the characters end up as mere caricatures and completely fail to build up an emotional quotient in the film. The film might have worked if it had buffered its spoof-and-satire stance with some emotional drama too. For there is only this much you can laugh at.TMK has colour, humour, pace but nothing does seem to fall in place in terms of plot and character connect.

In Tees Maar Khan, everyone is overacting as though life depends on it. There is a lot of screaming, grimacing and heaving. Tees Maar Khan springs to life in its song sequences. Farah continues to be the consummate choreographer.I wish the rest of Tees Maar Khan was as sparkling. Katrina is gorgeous and Akshay Kumar strains every muscle in his body to make you laugh. But the lazy writing does them in. I’m going with two stars.

TMK, scripted by Khan's husband?Shirish Kunder, is like that tasteless, dull chewing gum that you feel like throwing away as soon as you take the first bite. With each bite, the film tastes worse.?But lately more and more Hindi language filmmakers are making slapstick comedies, and in doing so, they make their actors behave moronic, almost mentally and intellectually challenged.TMK falls in the latter category.?Every actor, every character?-- the leads, cops, criminals, even the vast supporting cast and extras -- appear to be idiotic caricatures. What works in TMK are some of the song sequences. But in TMK, the songs are forced and that is just bad cinema.

Remade from Vittorio De Sica’s 1966 film ‘Caccia Alla Volpe’ (After the Fox) starring Peter Sellers, the only major innovation that Tees Maar Khan shows is to shift tracks to train theft from the ship in the original. While the climactic train heist could have worked as a smart suspense element in the favour of the film, the entire fabricated film formula is revealed at the very onset, leaving nothing to your imagination. To sum up in Tees Maar Khan’s trademark style of dialogue delivery, Akshay Kumar se zara hatke comedy expect karna aur Akshaye Khanna se kuch bhi expect karna bekaar hain. Tees Maar Khan doesn’t even guarantee thirty good laughs in its three hour runtime.

Farah Khan’s idea of a ‘holiday’ film — put together a world-infamous con artist, a Bollywood starlet, an Oscar aspirant, a bunch of naïve villagers, and befuddled policemen, then weave an absurd story connecting all of them. That is how you have this catastrophe called Tees Maar Khan.Tees Maar Khan is not the kind of film you would want to fret over this new year’s eve, unless you like to watch colourfully dressed Bollywood stars on the silver screen irrespective of their acting skills and the film’s content.
