  The film’s first half hour or so plays out breezily, where everything from Habib Faisal’s delightful dialogues to Ranveer Singh’s performance as an earnest, middle-class Dilliwala hits the right note. Ladies vs Ricky Bahl nosedives further post-intermission because of script holes the size of craters. The trio of women tracks down our hero way too conveniently, and you can’t help but question how a seasoned conman could so easily be charmed into parting with his cash. Doesn’t help either that the narrative is interrupted far too often with unnecessary songs.I’m going with two-and-a-half out of five for director Maneesh Sharma’s Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. It’s an easily watchable film with much to smile about. Pity…it could’ve been so much more fun.

  LADIES VS RICKY BAHL is a film of today and the women here are not abla naaris who will sit back and weep, but seek vengeance or at least get even with the offender. However, the screenplay [Devika Bhagat] isn't able to tap the potential that the plot provides. That's because the ploys that Anushka and her gang of girls employ to get even with Ranveer come across as preposterous and outlandish at times. Because the tricks played by the girls are unreal than sensible, even the youngsters may not really enjoy the drama in its entirety. Also, the film dips in the post-interval portions and tends to get sluggish as well. Fortunately, the director ensures that the film gets back on track and rounds off with a pounding culmination. On the whole, LADIES VS RICKY BAHL is, at best, a decent fare, which appeals in parts. The film starts well, even ends well. It's the in between that's plain ordinary.

  Firstly, there is no humour, no earthy flavour (remember the vows on the bread pakora), no tingling chemistry between the lead pair -- everything which made the first film such a winner. More importantly, Anushka has a role only post-interval and the first half is devoted to his exploits with the other three girls. What does work in favour of the film are its performances and its non-hysterical tenor. The girls are a spirited lot and Ranveer is, well Ranveer: your average Joe kind of hero who looks convincing enough as Sunny, Deven, Iqbal, Ricky, his sundry avatars. A word about Parineeti Chopra: cute.

  Ranveer Singh, who was fantastic in last year's Band Baaja Baaraat, here has his rough edges blunted by the generic sheen of wannabe stardom, and the result is most unfortunate.There is a plot in Maneesh Sharma's latest, but essentially imagine a long and rather unfunny Khosla Ka Ghosla and you'll get the gist. A very predictable con-versus-con film can be made enjoyable, but it needs to be breezy and engaging. We need to want to take sides and we need to care about the twists, and by the time Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl winds down in extremely simplistic fashion, we just don't care anymore. If this were a better-made film, we might have been justifiably outraged by the lame sexism meted out at the climax, but for now yawning seems reaction enough.

  What’s Good: The basic plotline; some con-game sequences; performances; music; song picturisations.What’s Bad: The comparatively slow pace of the film; absence of clap-worthy con games and dialogues of one-upmanship.Verdict: Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl neither charms greatly nor cons the audience. A plus fare!LADIES VS RICKY BAHL may not charm you enough but it doesn’t even con you. A fair entertainer. Watch it for entertainment but don’t expect the moon.

  Ladies vs Ricky Bahl loses out on the great chemistry we saw between him and Anushka in Band Baaja Baaraat, especially towards the end. I’ll go with 2.5 stars for Ladies vs Ricky Bahl - 1 Ranveer, 1 for Parineeti for her debut film and .5 for the entertainment, especially in the first half.Ranveer Singh walks away the hero from the film. Super energy and after Parineeti, good dialogues which make him not a seminal con-man by any standards, but an enjoyable one. The whistles were all for him and Parineeti. Maneesh Sharma's film Ladies vs Ricky Bahl  is a good, fun weekend watch.

  The script should have been as clever as it is trying to portray its lead man to be. For Ricky, cheating comes naturally, but disappointingly, it seems like he doesn't even have to exercise his brain cells to cheat any of them. Ricky gets so lucky every time that things easily fall into place or his victims are so foolishly gullible that they are more than willing to fall into his trap, again and again. However, the movie manages to keep you engaged, more so when the ladies are busy plotting and working furiously to carry out their sinister ideas against their common enemy. Overall, a decent entertainer but also a bit of a disappointment. So much could have been done with this plot, but sadly wasn't attempted.

  Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl's plot revolves around Rick Bahl’s umpteen rendenvezous with the woman he cheats, uses and disposes until he meets his female equivalent Anushka Sharma a.k.a Ishika Desai.She is well aware of his antics for she poses the same too. Now, how the drama unfolds on one con-man laying the trap for the other con-man is what you need to see and find out.This hilariously fast paced romantic comedy, is a great catch this weekend. The music is amazing in the film, coming from the YRF camps most trusted music duo Salim-Suleiman. A good option to get entertained this weekend and reconnect with the BBB jodi for some laughter and foot stomping again! go watch Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl
