My Top Romantic Movies of the Week

  • I love watching movies of different genres. But, of course, a lady as I am, I adore romantic movies. Every week, I see to it that I get to watch at least three movies (when I say at least, I mean I usually end up watching more, hehe). So, since it’s February and dating for the love month is inevitable, why don’t you treat your partner and watch a movie together. This list might be some kind of old to you. But for moviegoers like me, classic love stories never really get old. My top pick for the week with heart-melting dialogues:

    1. The Notebook

Young Noah (Ryan Gosling): “The best love is the kind that awakens the soul; that makes us reach for more, that plants the fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. That’s what I hope to give you forever.”

    2. Titanic

Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) to Rose (Kate Winslet): “Winning that ticket, Rose, was the best thing that ever happened to me. It brought me to you. You must do me this honor, Rose. Promise me you’ll survive. That you won’t give up, no matter what happens, no matter how hopeless. Promise me now Rose and never let go of that promise.

    3. My Best Friend's Wedding

Michael (Dermot Mulroney): "If you love someone you say it, you say it right then, out loud. Otherwise, the moment just..."  Julianne (Julia Roberts): "Passes you by." Michael: "Passes you by. Yeah."

    4. When Harry Met Sally

Harry Burns (Billy Crystal) to Sally Albright (Meg Ryan): “I love that after I spend day with you, I can still smell your perfume on my clothes. And I love that you are the last person I want to talk to before I go to sleep at night. And it’s not because I’m lonely, and it’s not because it’s New Year’s Eve. I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible."

    5. City of Angels

Seth (Nicolas Cage): “I would rather have had one breath of her hair, one kiss from her mouth, one touch of her hand, than eternity without it.”
